Mark Freed
Co-Founder of Men for Inclusion
Keynote Speaker
Mark Freed is co-founder of Men for Inclusion. With a career dedicated to challenging outdated stereotypes and promoting inclusivity, Mark has become a key voice in driving cultural change within the financial services sector and beyond.
Mark was born in Birmingham, England, and moved to London at the age of five. As a dyslexic student, he received little support or understanding from schools, which led to significant academic struggles. As a result, he left education as soon as possible without any qualifications.
In the early 2000s, Mark took a very different path when he co-founded E2W, an organisation dedicated to supporting women in their financial services careers and helping financial institutions attract, recruit, and retain female talent. This year, E2W will make a real difference in the careers and lives of over 800 women through its membership programme and partnerships with financial institutions committed to fostering their growth and success.
Frustrated by the slow pace of progress toward a more inclusive and diverse industry, Mark co-founded Men for Inclusion in 2021 alongside his partners. The initiative aims to encourage more men from majority groups to become active advocates for inclusion. Passionate about the economic and social benefits of diversity, Mark believes that greater male engagement is essential to driving meaningful and lasting change.
