ISKL’s Giving Tuesday Unites Panthers in Support of Community Service Partners Word count: 282 words

This day is dedicated to spreading kindness and fostering the spirit of giving in the community. The event united Panthers in support of Community Service Partners and showcased the true essence of collective action and compassion.

Thanks to the generosity of the ISKL community, over 2,400 items were donated, ranging from food staples and household essentials to educational supplies and technology. These contributions will directly benefit those served by ISKL’s community service partners, such as:

• Children’s Future Education Centre
• Dignity for Children Foundation
• Fugee School & Fugee HiEd
• Greater Action
• Malaysian Rare Disorders Society
• Malaysian Social Research Institute
• Pads & Paws KL
• Save School for Refugees
• SPCA Selangor
• Tasputra Perkim
• The Chin Women’s Organization Learning Centre
• Zotung Refugee Catholic Learning Centre

Students also played an important role, contributing through donation drives and creative fundraising initiatives. The High School clubs and the Service Council hosted festive activities, such as hand-painted ornaments, candy grams in decorative baubles, and arm wrestling challenges with teachers, adding an extra layer of engagement to the day. In Middle School, students promoted the event and created fun initiatives, such as awarding House Points, to rally more support from their peers for the fair.

The success of this year’s Giving Tuesday highlights the collective compassion and dedication of the ISKL community. From the donors to the volunteers who tirelessly worked behind the scenes, every effort has helped create a positive impact on the lives of others.
