Getting to know the Principal at UWC South East Asia for new families

How did you come to be Principal of Primary School at UWCSEA East?

I have been teaching for over 30 years, 25 years in international schools in Kuwait, Qatar, Belgium and Singapore. I have been incredibly fortunate to have learnt so much from the leaders I have worked alongside and also from the schools I have worked in.I was very happy and settled in my previous school where I held the same position as I do here. However, when I saw the job advert for Primary School Principal at UWCSEA – I knew I could not pass up the opportunity to apply.UWCSEA is a unique school and I would not have left my previous job for anywhere else. There are 18 schools in the UWC movement but only 5 have a Primary School section. Having followed UWC for many years, it seemed incredible that this position was available so I jumped at the chance to apply and the rest, as they say, is history.This is my 9th year here.
