Radnor House Sevenoaks Celebrates Best Ever Results
Today, year 11 students at Radnor House Sevenoaks are celebrating outstanding exam results.
The independent day school in Kent teaches children aged 2 through to 18 and has seen a significant improvement on grades across the board as it received three times as many grade 9s as last year.
41% of this year’s cohort achieved 7-9 grades, a 33% increase on 2024’s results. The school also achieved a fifth more 6-9 grades than last year. The Radnor House Sevenoaks Science department is celebrating great success, as a third of all Triple Science were awarded grade 9.
Radnor students have achieved impressive results across the board, with some students scoring exceptionally, including Sophie L, who achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8. Her performance is even more remarkable considering she is also pursuing professional ballet training; teachers have supported her talent by helping her balance school work alongside dance and following a reduced timetable.
Other students that have excelled this year include:
- Phoebe B, who received 5x9s and 4x8s
- Valentina E, who received 5x9s and 3x8s
- Isaac Y, who received four 9s, three 8s and three 7s
- Sophie B, who received 3x9s and 4x8s
- Sophie L, who achieved eight grade 9s and 8s
- Ava P, who achieved seven grade 9s and 8s
- Kian Y and Audrey M who both achieved eight grade 9s–7s
Audrey M says: “I’ve done better than I thought I was going to do, I’m really happy, I can’t believe it”
Issac Y comments: “I did very well, I’m very happy. I got 9’s, 8’s and 7’s. It’s hard to put into words right now, I’m very excited and happy.”
David Paton, headteacher at Radnor House Sevenoaks says: “These results are excellent, which reflect yet another step forward in Radnor’s journey of excellence. Our Year 11 pupils have achieved superb grades, and we are immensely proud of both their individual successes and their collective effort as a year group. As a growing school, we are fortunate to have an exceptional team of teachers who go above and beyond to ensure every student can fulfil their potential. These results provide a strong foundation for our students as they move confidently into the next stage of their education. I am looking forward to the year ahead!”
Deputy Head of Academic, Scott Milne, comments, “We are so proud of our students’ achievements and commend them for all the preparation and hard work they have put in. The study skills, analytical reasoning and resilience they have developed alongside learning the syllabus material will help them to prepare for future academic and career success. We look forward to welcoming them back in September to tackle A-levels!”
