As author of bestselling book ‘Don’t fix women: the practical path to gender equality at work’, host of ‘The Equality Conversation’ podcast and contributor of over 70 articles on Forbes.com, Joy has interviewed hundreds of senior business leaders, board members, CEOs, authors and experts, and has been cited in national, business and HR press. She regularly speaks at conferences and industry events and sits on the UK’s Chartered Management Institute Women’s Advisory Committee and the Financial Times Women at the Top Advisory Board.
Joy is an active supporter of the Unleashed Women campaign led by the Hunger Project UK charity whose mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering women-centred strategies. She is also a Non-Executive Director and Vice President of the East of England Co-op, playing a key role in ensuring the long-term success of the business, shaping future direction and overseeing governance, policy and strategy decisions.
She is a busy wife and mum to two wonderfully different children and a puppy called Ziggy, and so understands the challenges that many women face on a daily basis!

Dr Patrizia Kokot-Blamey, author of Gendered Hierarchies of Dependency, senior lecturer, School of Business and Management Queen Mary, University of London.

About Dr Patrizia Kokot-Blamey
Patrizia’s research interests are in gender at work. In her current research, she seeks to better understand the experiences of women undergoing IVF while working. Her broader research interests focus on motherhood, breastfeeding and women’s bodies at work.
She has a particular interest in the accounting profession, comparatively and historically, and women’s careers in Professional Service Firms (PSFs). Her past research focused on the careers of women who made partnership in PSFs in Germany and the United Kingdom and to examine the challenges women experiences on the way to partnership from a feminist perspective.
Patrizia holds a PhD in Gender Studies from the London School of Economics. She completed a Master’s degree as well as her undergraduate studies in Economics at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Before pursuing an academic career, Patrizia worked as a financial journalist and correspondent for Reuters News and Thomson Financial, dpa-AFX and the Swedish Wire reporting on European equities and economics.
Amira Kohler is a CIPD fellow. She is a highly experienced performance management and change management leader with 30 years’ organisational and consulting experience and a deep track record of performance management and employee engagement strategy, design and delivery, Independent HR and change consulting, thought leadership and project-based delivery.

Amira has worked for a huge variety of organisations, from global giants to small start-ups, in the private and public sector, from the ‘complex and corporate’ to the ‘scrappy and agile’.
Amira has the ability to ‘speak sense’ and galvanize business leaders and teams into action. She loves managing complex, emotive HR and change projects, keeping a strategic eye on the big picture as well as delivering the detail. She enjoys advising and influencing stakeholders and loves constructively challenging the status quo.
